About Our Founding Minister
Minister Lecia Martin, P.E. was born in Memphis, TN on the same day that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated. She grew up in the Orange Mound neighborhood and graduated from Melrose High School. She has a mechanical engineering degree from Christian Brothers University and holds professional engineering licenses in several states. She is a humble business owner who has her own mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering firm and she was awarded the TN Congressional Proclamation for being the first African American woman-owned mechanical engineering firm established in the state of Tennessee.
Recently, she founded Launch Out into the Deep Ministries, which is a non-profit organization that was established to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to women who find themselves in unfamiliar, unwanted, or unlovable circumstances and environments. We aim to bring women’s lost souls to Christ as well as help them stay saved and find their Godly purposes through Christian education and fellowship.
Lecia Martin is a great educator, bible teacher, public speaker, and minister who loves living her life speaking about God and His Holy Word. She is the loving wife of Minister Robert H. Martin and the loving mother of LeAnn Dunning. Most of all, she is a true and real woman of God who considers it a privilege to serve in His Kingdom!

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12: 1-2)
